Michael Driscoll is a priest of the Diocese of Helena. He is professor emeritus of the theology department and the founding director of the Graduate Program in Sacred Music at the University of Notre Dame. His scholarly interests are in the area of liturgy and sacramental theology, co-authoring a book with Michael Joncas entitled, The Order of Mass: A Roman Missal Study Edition and Workbook (Chicago: Liturgical Training Publications, 2011). He served as president of the North American Academy of Liturgy (2002-03) and was a member of the executive council (2002-08) of the international ecumenical association, Societas Liturgica. In 2013, he finished his three-year term as president of the Catholic Academy of Liturgy and is currently the treasurer.

Bob Schmuhl is the Walter H. Annenberg-Edmund P. Joyce Professor of American Studies and Journalism, Emeritus, at Notre Dame. He’s the author or editor of over a dozen books, including The Glory and the Burden: The American Presidency from the New Deal to the Present, Fifty Years with Father Hesburgh: On and Off the Record, and Ireland’s Exiled Children: America and the Easter Rising. His most recent book is Mr. Churchill in the White House: The Untold Story of a Prime Minister and Two Presidents, which was featured on “CBS Saturday Morning” and C-SPAN’s “Booknotes+.” A 1970 Notre Dame graduate, he joined the Notre Dame faculty in 1980 and has lectured throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, Africa, and South America. In 2010 he was the recipient of the Frank O’Malley Award for excellence in undergraduate teaching at Notre Dame.
A minimum number of participants is required to secure the services of a Notre Dame representative. We make every effort to send a faculty lecturer, priest, or host from Notre Dame on each departure as our travelers tell us this greatly enhances their experience and makes the trip unique.
